Tinting involves carefully dying the eyelashes and eyebrows with safe, natural tints, to give them a natural, luscious, darker appearance, the results of which can last up to six weeks.
If your lashes are naturally fair, having them tinted will create a much more dramatic look for your eyes. It is a great option for those with a busy lifestyle, and a great alternative for contact lens wearers who find it stressful wearing eye makeup, or those who are sensitive to makeup, as it gives the impression that you already have mascara on.
Eyebrow tinting is particularly good for those with fair hairs or those who want to enhance their look, giving the apprearance of lifting the eye area and greater definition and shape to your face. This works particularly well when combined with eyebrow waxing or threading.
We start with a consultation where we will discuss and both agree on the best tint colour for you, considering your hair colour and complexion. I never want you to walk away from a treatment unhappy with the results, so if you aren’t sure how dark you’d like to go for an eyebrow tint we can start off with a lighter shade and re-do it darker if you’d prefer a bit more definition. Eyebrow tinting is very quick so this can be done during the same appointment, and don’t worry, you won’t be charged twice!
A patch test must be completed for each new tint colour a minimum of 24 hours before the appointment, or 48 hours for clients with diabetes or other special circumstances. Patch testing must re-occur if there has been a change in the client’s medical history, a change in the treatment preparation (e.g. new formula or different product), any hormonal changes such as pregnancy or menopause, or if there has been a 12 month interval since the last tinting treatment.
This is essential to ensure that you aren’t sensitive to the tint.
If a client has as allergic reaction to the patch test the treatment will not be performed.
